NFL Game Summary - Baltimore at Seattle

 Seattle,  WA - Matt Hasselbeck threw two touchdown passes and
 Shaun  Alexander ran  for  73 yards  and  caught a  touchdown  as the  Seattle
 Seahawks routed the Baltimore Ravens 27-6 at Qwest Field.

 Seattle clinched the No. 3 seed in the NFC with the win.

 Hasselbeck,  who  did  throw  two interceptions,  finished  18-of-27  for  the
 Seahawks  (10-5), who have won six of seven. His two touchdown passes give him
 a career-high 27 on the season.

 "I  thought our rhythm  and tempo was good," said Hasselbeck. "It felt like we
 controlled  the tempo on offense. Each game we have to keep improving but it's
 great that we get to host a playoff game."

 Alexander  needed just 13 carries to amass his 73 yards. Bobby Engram finished
 with  five catches  for 69 yards and a touchdown for Seattle, breaking Darrell
 Jackson's team record for receptions in a season. Engram has 90.

 Troy  Smith,  the 2006 Heisman Trophy  winner making his first NFL start, went
 16-of-33 with a touchdown for the Ravens (4-11), who extended their franchise-
 record losing streak to nine games.

 Seattle  got  on the  board early  in the second  quarter. Hasselbeck hit Nate
 Burleson  down  the left  sideline for  a 21-yard touchdown  and 7-0 lead with
 11:34 remaining in the stanza.

 With  5:57  left in the  second, Seattle struck  again with a defensive score.
 LeRoy Hill returned Mike Anderson's fumble 20 yards for a touchdown and a 14-0
 advantage.  Darryl  Tapp forced the  fumble, hitting Anderson  at the end of a
 three-yard run.

 Anderson was filling in for starting running back Willis McGahee, who left the
 game in the first quarter with bruised ribs.

 Alexander's  14-yard touchdown catch with 1:53 left in the second quarter gave
 Seattle a commanding 21-0 lead heading into the locker room.

 In  the third  quarter, Josh Brown drilled  a 42-yard field goal followed by a
 39-yarder for a 27-0 Seahawks lead with 3:07 left in the frame.

 Smith  connected  with Derrick  Mason for  a 79-yard  touchdown pass with 4:41
 remaining  in  the fourth quarter  to help the  Ravens avoid being shutout for
 the first time since September 15, 2002.

 The  Ravens  lost three  fumbles, giving  them 25  on the  season, most in the
 NFL...Smith's  start  was his  first since the  BCS National Championship game
 last   January.  Smith's  Ohio  State  Buckeyes  lost  41-14  to  the  Florida
 Gators...Mason's touchdown catch was the 700th of his career.
