Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowl offensive lineman Jonathan Ogden, who helped revolutionalize the left tackle position, announced his retirement Thursday after 12 seasons in the NFL.

The Ravens said farewell to Jonathan Ogden today, but the All-Pro offensive tackle did not say goodbye to the city where he played his illustrious 12-year career.
In officially announcing his retirement, Ogden said he plans to hang around the team to help the offensive linemen and wants to keep involved with his community foundation.
‘I’m a Baltimore Raven for life,’ Ogden said. ‘There’s no doubt about that.’
During his half-hour news conference, Ogden seemed at ease with his decision.
