Ravens QB Smith misses start due to illness (AP)
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Troy Smith missed a scheduled start in Saturday night’s preseason game against the Rams because of a viral illness. Smith, the former Heisman Trophy winner, had been set to play as much as three quarters in Baltimore’s third preseason game. Smith was back at the team hotel, the Ravens said.
Even in the midst of uncertainty at quarterback, the Ravens are solidifying their receiving corps with the return of Demetrius Williams.
