Report: 2 players suspended for violating drug policy
Two NFL free agents — running back Mike Anderson and tackle Shane Olivea — released by their previous teams early in the offseason, have been suspended by the NFL.
Odgen: ‘I’m a Baltimore Raven for life’
The Ravens said farewell to Jonathan Ogden today, but the All-Pro offensive tackle did not say goodbye to the city where he played his illustrious 12-year career.
In officially announcing his retirement, Ogden said he plans to hang around the team to help the offensive linemen and wants to keep involved with his community foundation.
‘I’m a Baltimore Raven for life,’ Ogden said. ‘There’s no doubt about that.’
During his half-hour news conference, Ogden seemed at ease with his decision.

Jonathan Ogden will announce his retirement Thursday, ending a stellar career with the Baltimore Ravens in which the left offensive tackle garnered 11 Pro Bowl invitations and a Super Bowl ring. Ogden, who turns 34 next month, told friends he won’t return for a 13th season. The 6-foot-9, 345-pounder has been bothered by an hyperextended toe since December 2006.
